DARJEELING HONEYMOON TOUR

Darjeeling is also blessed with some of the most beautiful sceneries and is home to one of the most courageous warrior tribes famous the world over for their velour and chivalry - the Gurkhas.

But undoubtedly, Darjeeling's claim to fame is the Darjeeling Tea, known all over the globe for its flavor and aroma and nicknamed 'the Champagne of Teas!" With places like Gangtok, Mirik, Kalimpong, Sandakphu and Jaldapara, Mahanadi, Manas and Gorumara Wildlife Sanctuaries in the vicinity, Darjeeling is truly a tourists' delight, whether he is visiting for relaxation, adventure sports or to savor the beauty of nature and its flora and fauna.

Apart from trekking and mountaineering (it is home to the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the premier institution of mountaineering and winter sports in India), Darjeeling also has river rafting and canoeing on the turbulent Rangit and allied adventure sports.

Day 1: Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri - Darjeeling
Arrive Bagdogra/New Jalpaiguri. Meet India Honeymoon Tour's executive. Reception and assistance on arrival and transfer to Darjeeling. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Darjeeling
Full day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Darjeeling
Early morning excursion to Tiger Hill to witness sunrise over the Kanchenjunga. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Days 4 to 11 Darjeeling - Sandakphu
Start off on a eight-day trek to Sandakphu via Batasia, Barahatta, Rimbik, Raman Molle and Phalut. A beautiful and a tough trek for the experienced and the tough, but the trekker is rewarded amply by the scenic beauty and proximity to the higher reaches of the Himalayas. One is almost at the feet of the mighty Kanchenjunga.

Day 12: Darjeeling
Full day rest and relaxation. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13: Mirik - Kalimpong
Morning proceed to Kalimpong by road. Check in at the hotel on arrival. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 14: Darjeeling
Whole day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 15: Darjeeling - Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri
Morning transfer to Bagdogra/New Jalpaiguri for flight/train for onward journey.
